I didn't think that I would be selcted (there were more than 100 people who submitted), so I want to give a big shout-out to Lisa Rosenberg, our poet laureate!
Here's the poem Bird's Eye View I have looked above at the world made of man Earth's fallen kingdom The bright un-earthly colors of man scar my eyes shadows of nature From the sky, faces are not seen. Actions define who you are forever I see animals clad in strange rainbows casting shadows One yet separate different and similar on gray concrete Their color contrasts black shadows living unaware |
